The resources I share here are critical philosophical and decision making considerations that are rarely discussed but critically important to 38+ year old women who are planning their family with IVF. That’s why I feel it’s imperative somebody think and write about them.

When is enough, enough?
IVF is existential. The drive to have children runs deep in both the subconscious and the biological. This resource shares my thinking on when continuing makes sense and when it becomes futile, with a focus on age, cycle history and chance of success.

To test or not test
Both choices can be right. There are good reasons to test embryos and good reasons not to. This resource gives a clear overview of PGT-A, what it measures, and the factors that make results more or less reliable, so you can decide based on your own clinic, lab and situation.

Managing personal risk in IVF
IVF is not only about protocols and research, it is also about risk. Emotional, physical and existential. This resource shares my thinking on how to recognise and manage risk in a way that helps you decide when to continue, when to pause, and how to keep a sense of agency in the process.
There are many more resources I share on Facebook. If you’re a 38+ years old woman who is currently doing IVF and struggling to create euploid embryos, you are welcome to join. We do accept younger and older group members, but know that the techniques used are likely to have the greatest impact within this specific age bracket.
